Up to 30-50% of patients cannot be treated sufficiently
Smaller people require small catheters
Approximatelx 20% of women and 10% of men can not be treated with endovascular aortic repair (EVAR), but are facing the much more risky open surgery. EVAR is less invasive, hence patients recover faster.
Improved individualized implant
Your aorta is as individual as your fingerprint. A Stentgraft should fit as smooth as a glove. If it doesn't, blood leakage appears and the aneurysm continues to grow.
Customized implant delivery takes multiple months
Customized Stentgrafts can take months until delivery. In urgent cases an aortic aneurysm must be treated as fast as possible to avoid a life threatening rupture.
Stentgraft durability is limited and requires costly repair
Some materials only allow a durability of a couple of years. With patients becoming younger, life expectancy should not be tied to the durability of an implant, but the implant should last for decades
Smaller, faster, fully customized
Hyper low profile membrane
The membrane takes a significant fraction of the volume in the catheter. By reducing the membrane thickness to a fraction of today's benchmark we enable smaller catheters.

Evolving a manual process to fully automated production and one-step production of Stentgrafts in minutes from start to finish.
Series-customization
Every Stentgraft is manufactured for the specific purposes and individual needs of the patient and surgeon in care.
Superior material lasts a lifetime
The usage of a material 20x stronger than steel and significant lower wear than standard PET allows longer functioning of our Stentgraft

Henry Stehle
CEO
Curious co-founder of Aortex, production engineer, former NRW Founder Scholarship recipient and strategy consultant with an intrinsic desire to make an impact. Key expertise lies in project management as well as project financing.
If not obsessively working on Aortex, Henry is typically found creating slides, windsurfing or running around the Alster.
Maximilian Dunker
CTO
Stuctured co-founder of Aortex, mechanical engineer and former product manager from prototype to series production. Key knowledge about methodical prototyping and ramp up production as well as machine modifications.
If not thinking about aortic vessels, Maxi is mostly found on the bike or collecting HSV memories.
Kai-Chieh Kuo
Advising Product Manager
Passionate medical textile engineer experienced in research and development of medical devices I, II and III and part of Aortex since the beginning. Key specialities in vascular disease treatment and medical compression therapy.
If not having another great idea on medical textiles, Kai is most probably found in front of his 3D printer designing more or less helpful everyday gadgets.
